<image:caption>DCI Family Emergency Service Solutions program assists homeless households and households at risk of homelessness by providing the services necessary to help them quickly regain stable housing after experiencing a housing crisis and/or homelessness. DCI services are procured on an annual basis. Therefore, the services provided may change each year. Currently, DHCD funds DCI services under the following components: Shelter Support; Rapid Re-housing; and Homelessness Prevention. DCI strives to develop systemic approaches to combat poverty and homelessness among families with children, and to enhance family economic security and well-being.. DCI Family Solutions Center will also provide a single, centralized point of access for families in need of crisis services, temporary and permanent housing placement, and linkages with employment, physical and mental health, child care and other community-based services. All families in Richmond (incorporated/unincorporated) who are homeless are referred to the DCI Center for assessment and triage of service needs, followed by facilitated linkages to community programs to resolve immediate crises and promote housing stability.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Navigating through the maze of services when individuals with disabilities transition from one facet of their life to another can be a confusing and challenging time for individuals and families. We understand the factors that determine a successful future for young adults with disabilities, from short-term services supporting transition to long-term services that cover the lifetime of the individual. DCI Transition Advocacy Program helps our clients to develop an understanding of valuable resources in the community available to help them and provide answers to their questions, such as: What community resources are available to me? Where can I find these resources and how do I apply? Should I go to work or school or both? Which post-secondary services will I have to pay for? Who will oversee all of these life changes? Unlike our other Outcomes programs that are funded by state and county agencies, the Transition Advocacy Program is private pay, fee-for-service that is open to anyone. The initial consultation is free of charge.</image:caption>
